A native chief and his wife and daughter arrive on the island by boat. They are looking for a suitable groom to marry their daughter and choose Gilligan.
Gilligan is reluctant but is convinced by the Skipper that it may lead to a chance to get off the island and eventually be rescued.
By tribal custom, Gilligan is first required to pass a series of physical challenges known as THE MARRIAGE TEST.
In a twist, a fearsome-looking warrior named Harooki then also arrives on the island and wishes to challenge Gilligan for the right to marry the chief’s daughter.
Against all odds Gilligan somehow wins the contest but the chief’s daughter ends up picking Harooki as her groom anyway.

Anyway, you’re here and in appreciation I’m going to let the strict grass skirt dress code slip by the wayside. But only this once. Ok?

Oh, and if you happen to bump into Gilligan anywhere around the lagoon, can you pass on this message in the most authorative tone you can muster – “Gilligan, I’m going to need you to step at least 50 feet away from that rescue flare. Just… just stay back.”

Uh, yes, please. One coconut special, neat (even though there’s no ice anyway) and my grass skirt is in the wash, so thank you for turning a blind eye to my torn up jeans and tattered blouse from Ross, Dress for Less.
Also, one more thing–too late about that flare. Gilligan was trying to secure it and a seagull swooped in and snatched it right out of his hands. So no rush with that drink. No one’s coming! This week at least! Unless the professor can get that coconut radio thing to work… hope lives!
